We are a non profit group that offers Learning, Friendship, Discovery, Travel, Creativity ... we've got it all! There's so much we have to offer and it's fun for everyone.

Founded in 1962, the Kingston Lapidary and Mineral Club provides a positive environment for local rockhounds, lapidary enthusiasts and silversmiths. Members gather to develop their interests, share information and ideas, and socialize with others interested in the earth sciences. The Club is very active. In addition to diverse monthly meetings, weekly lapidary instruction and frequent silversmithing courses are provided in our workshop.  We sponsor our annual show and sale, Gem Storm, each October as well as our Spring and Fall Metal Rocks show and sale at the Tett Centre, in conjunction with the Kingston Potters' Guild annual shows.

Kingston Mineral Club Meetings and Field Trips

From November until April our general Meetings are usually held on the second Friday of every month. Every month is something different! It may be a guest speaker, a demonstration, a craft workshop, an auction or another fun event.  From April until October general Meetings are replaced by field trips that focus on collecting specimen or learning about geological history in Southeastern Ontario and Quebec.  From September until June our workshop is open during scheduled work times for lapidary and silversmithing courses.
