Wool art, a mesmerizing medium of creativity, possesses the unique ability to transform humble wool fibers into "student masterpieces" brimming with color and texture. In our class, students will experience techniques such as hand stitch and various patterns for embroidery on the wool cloth, adding YOUR ideas. Class time offers a tangible experience of warmth and the learning of many new patterns/stitches for new students. It is a captivating form of artistic expression. In this full day workshop setting we will learn about the rich history of wool art, its diverse techniques, and popular projects. Come enjoy the FUN and BENEFITS the fibre arts offers as we stitch with both our local and distance textile and stitch artists, friends, and enthusiasts. You are welcome to bring your own cloth; however, Beth will share a base cloth for you in a small, 12” x 12” beautiful DORR Wool sample in beige or black. Please remember to bring your own scissors, threads, and needles.

Beginner and Intermediate Friendly. | Ages 18+

Registration is via e-transfer to garner@kingston.net and/or at our class on April 21, 2024.
