The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning (TCCL) is thrilled to announce opportunities for artists in the vibrant artistic community of Katarokwi/Kingston. As part of its commitment to fostering creative growth and facilitating community engagement, the TCCL is offering two distinct programs to provide artists with exceptional spaces to nurture their talents and artistic endeavors. These bright creative studio spaces are situated within the historic J.K. Tett Centre, along the picturesque shores of Lake Ontario.
TETT ARTIST RESIDENCY: For Emerging Artists
The inaugural TETT ARTIST RESIDENCY is now open for applications. This program is designed to empower emerging artists by offering an awarded three-month studio space within the Creativity Studios at the Tett Centre. Four artists will be accommodated consecutively each year, ensuring exclusive studio access for each artist at a time.
The Tett Artist Residency invites emerging artists in Katarokwi/Kingston from a spectrum of disciplines including visual arts, literary arts, photography, time-based media, curation, digital art, and beyond. This unique opportunity enables artists to immerse themselves in a thriving, multifaceted arts centre, fostering a dynamic environment for creative exploration and growth. The deadline to apply for the Tett Artist Residency is Friday September 22, 2023.
CREATIVITY STUDIOS: For Emerging Professional Artists
In addition, the TCCL is now welcoming proposals from emerging professional artists to rent one of its highly sought-after Creativity Studios.
Artists at all stages of their careers and across diverse disciplines are encouraged to apply for this opportunity. The studios available for application include Studio F, Studio G, and Studio H. Successful applicants will sign on for a one-year license term, with the possibility to renew for up to two additional terms. The deadline to apply for Studios F, G, and H is Tuesday August 28, 2023.
