The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning (TCCL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brianne Franklin to the role of Director.
Brianne Franklin’s leadership skills and experience in the arts sector, along with her present relationships and integration within the Tett community, will empower the TCCL team to expand on the flourishing legacy of The Tett as a vibrant arts hub. About her new role, she says: “I am excited to continue working collaboratively with our stakeholders to facilitate creative learning opportunities and foster community through the arts. To secure long-term sustainability, I am prioritizing diversification of revenue and building on the strong foundation of the TCCL as a creative arts hub through the development of our new strategic plan.”
Brianne Franklin has worked in leadership and program development roles at a range of arts, culture, and heritage organizations in Ontario. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Arts Leadership and Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology, both from Queen’s University. Brianne has held positions as the Program and Events Coordinator at CreativeHub 1352, a multidisciplinary arts organization based in Mississauga, and as the Education Studio Technician and Facilitator at the Art Gallery of Burlington. She joined the Tett Centre staff as Programming and Communications Coordinator in April 2021, where she has built relationships within the local arts community and developed programming focused on creativity and learning for people of all ages and abilities. She has been supporting the Tett community as Interim Director since October 2021.

In seven short years, The Tett has become a vital part of Kingston’s thriving arts scene through diverse programming and collaboration, supporting artists across all disciplines and levels of experience as a site of creative incubation and exchange. We look forward to further developing this potential in this next stage of The Tett’s history, under the leadership of Brianne Franklin.
