A Decade of Making Space for Art: Tett Centre asks community to become Space Makers!

Text reads, "Make Space for Art"

The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning is working to solidify its place as a beacon in Kingston’s creative landscape with its annual 2024 fundraising campaign. As the organization prepares to celebrate its tenth year, the lakefront arts centre is appealing to the community for help ensuring it can continue to grow and thrive.

The Tett has set a goal of raising $30,000 this holiday season to support programming goals, including providing

  • Affordable studio space for emerging and established artists
  • Free community programs that connect people through creativity
  • The celebrated artist residency program
  • Safe spaces for youth to discover and develop their creative voices
  • A vibrant hub for creative exploration in our historic building

“Whether its a retired teacher discovering their passion in our Tett Tuesday Open Studio, a child experiencing their first hands-on arts encounter in Kids Creativity Club, or an Artist in Residence developing groundbreaking work that connects community to culture, the Tett has played a crucial role in the artistic development of our community,” says Brianne Franklin, Tett Director. “With $30,000 from our community, we will be able to continue to grow our impact.”
