About the Speaker and Artist
Dan Poenaru (CM, MD, PhD) is a 2024 appointee to the Order of Canada. He serves as adjunct professor at McGill University in pediatric surgery. Prior to this he lived on the continent of Africa where he founded a-first of-its-kind pan-African training program for pediatric surgeons.
Will Walker has been a touring and recording musician over the years and hosted the live music for our 2023 event at the Tett Center. It’s a huge honour to have him join us for a second year.
