Tett Creativity Studio Artist, Sasha French, will lead families in a communal artmaking activity inspired by Andrew Larsen's The Imaginary Garden. This event will be held virtually via Zoom.
The Imaginary Garden is the story of a young girl named Theo and her grandfather, who love to garden together. After Theo's grandpa moves to an apartment, they paint an imaginary garden together and fill it with flowers.
Participants will create their own gardens, guided by Sasha French, using paint, crayons, or whatever materials they wish. Examples of suggested supplies to grow your garden:
- Acrylic paint, paint brushes, rinse water, and rags
- Coloured pencils and pencil sharpeners
- Crayons
- Markers
- Coloured paper, scissors, and glue
We recommend using a large, sturdy surface so the whole family can participant with ease, such as:
- A large canvas
- Poster board
- An opened carboard box
