Patterned cloth dyed indigo blue

Meeting together as a community of keen arts enthusiasts, Instructor Bethany Garner will bring the fun of working with INDIGO dyes and working with white cotton or linen, silk or various yarns and cloth. Attendees will hand-stitch designs using white cotton threads/needles to create beautiful art cloth! Students in this two-day April 14 and 15th workshop should be eager artists with time to learn and create beautiful hand-dyed INDIGO cloth for their artworks.

The students may have used the dyes before, and the new students will have a chance to gain many skills that will see them developing beautiful art cloth and designs during our two class days. Pre-stitch work using needle and thread, folding and tying cloth as we start the morning of our first day. Students choose and supply the size of their cloth supply for dyeing their own projects. They will learn hand stitch work and the creation of unique and wonderful Indigo cloth for clothing, home decor and art for hanging once finished. Handouts to follow.

***Students are welcome to wear their masks while working in the Activity Room, and we do not provide drinks or food. Lunches and bottled drinks or Juniper purchases are welcomed.
