Jane Kirby (she/her) has been working as a performing artist, arts administrator, and arts educator in the Kingston community for 10+ years, having worked in various capacities with organizations including the Kick & Push Festival, Kingston Circus Arts, the Kingston School of Dance, and the Skeleton Park Arts Festival, among others. Her personal artistic practice is as a circus artist focusing on aerial work and handstands, and her choreography and performance have been seen on stages across Canada and the U.S. Jane is also an editor and writer; she is the author of the book Fired Up About Reproductive Rights, writes for local and national publications, and is the managing editor of the Journal of Critical Race Inquiry. She holds a BAH from Queen’s University and an MA from Dalhousie University and has completed a Publishing Certificate from Toronto Metropolitan University.
