Kingston Lapidary and Mineral Club Gears Up For Summer

Over the summer each year, the club shifts gears from meetings and adult classes to field trips and children.

The Club has a few rock hunting field trips you won’t want to miss. Planned for July, August, and early September, they are aptly led by Corey Lablans and Alf Newman. You will have the opportunity to collect your own treasures in the form of: titanite, biotite, rare quartz, hornblende, orthoclase, augite, amethyst, amazonite and more. Check your calendar and reserve the dates for short jaunts on July 23 and September 3 and an extended adventure August 21-27.

Once again you will find an introduction to jewelry making as a component of this year's Arts By The Lake Summer Art Camp at the Tett. Heather Kushum Sheedy and Teresa Roseboom are our talented instructors and they can't wait to share their passion with the next generation. The camp runs August 8-12 and 15-19.
