The City of Kingston is thrilled to announce that renowned Canadian dance artist and choreographer Peggy Baker will be in residence at the Tett Centre August 22nd through 27th. While in residence, Peggy will be offering a number of FREE public events for all ages and abilities. Join us for any and all of these wonderful sessions that explore the beauty and joy of movement!
August 24, 2016, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning, Peggy will offer a FLUX workshop. FLUX is a spontaneous choreography celebrating the poetics of space. Peggy will set the workshop group in motion, creating ever-evolving, constantly-recalibrating, gloriously eventful choreography. Space is limited to 20 participants. August 26th, in Market Square, Peggy will offer a FluxDelux session for ALL ages and abilities. Using a simple set of guidelines for moving and stopping, FLUX is a fun and fascinating adventure in action and interaction for EVERYbody. No previous dance experience is required. Families and groups are welcome! No registration is needed — come out and help us set Market Square in motion!
