As part of the Tett’s Creativity Studios, local artists lend their expertise to the community through leading Wednesday night workshops. They are available for ages 16+, and no prior experience is required.Last Wednesday, Patricia van Asperen, offered the community an exciting polymer-clay demonstration along with an introductory art activity for adults. In her workshop, adults learned new techniques, and were able to incorporate them into a smaller clay project of their own. Everyone enjoyed it and went home with a lovely piece of art at the end of the night.
The Board of the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning (TCCL) is pleased to announce that the successful candidate for the Community Engagement Coordinator position at the Tett is Ms. Jill Banting.Jill is an experienced creative facilitator with a Masters degree in Applied Arts, focussing on social practice and community engagement, and she will be joining the Tett team on August 1, 2017.
Staff Changes at the Tett: Facility Manager and Community Engagement CoordinatorBoth current contract staff positions at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning (TCCL) will conclude on June 30, 2017 and will become permanent positions thereafter.After a country-wide search, the TCCL Board is pleased to announce that the successful candidate for the Facility Manager position is Ms. Nadine Baker. Nadine is presently the interim Facility Manager and will be formally assuming her permanent position on July 1, 2017.

Acoording to Tett Chairperson Dave Kerr, "the Tett is a glowing example of the Kingston community coming together through the arts. There is no shortage of activity at KLMC these days! Friday April 21st, 6:30pm at the shop is our annual rock Auction. We will also be participating in Art Expo at the Tett on Saturday May 13.Classes abound this spring with beginner silver smithing, intermediate silversmithing, enamelling, etching, polymer clay, wire wrapping, polishing and finishing, and chasing and repousse. It has to warm up sooner or later and before long our rock hunting expeditions will be upon us once again.
