1. Can you give us a breakdown of how the online open studios work?

Hello, Rhonda. Please tell us about yourself.I am a mixed media and a mixed idea artist. I don’t think there is a right way or wrong way to make art. There are only ways to embellish! I am also co-owner of Glocca Morra Studios through which my creative business partner, Adele Webster, and I create artwork and teach workshops. Our studios are located on my family farm and in a Creativity Studio at the Tett Centre, both located in Kingston, Ontario. Were you born in Kingston?

We’re going digital! On the second Tuesday of every month we get together at the Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning for an evening of creativity, conversation and connection. This April, May and June we are hosting free open studio sessions via Zoom every Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM. Our goal is to stay connected, encourage at-home art-making, prioritize self-care, and to promote community wellness.

The Tett Centre is proud to present the: At Home Art & Photography Challenge! We challenge you to explore and uncover the beauty within your own home. Take a photograph, grab a sketchbook, paint on canvas, create a video - express yourself in any medium. Each Monday and Thursday we will announce a new creative prompt. The challenge is open to all ages, mediums, and skill levels.Once you see the prompt on Facebook or Instagram we invite you to get creative and innovative! We want to see your unique interpretation of the word.

Tett Centre

On February 21st, at 1:00pm, Ian Arthur MPP will be at the Tett Centre as it celebrates our renovation in our beloved Activity Room 108. This well-used space is one of the Tett Centre's busiest spots for creative activities for the community. We are grateful for the grant that the Tett Centre received in 201 which has allowed our charity to invest in more storage, finish the floor, and add some equipment to make our space more usr-friendly.

The Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning is pleased to launch a festive and fun series called, Monday Morning Makings: Holiday Series. As the cold weather approaches, we invite you to join us in the studio, and create one-of-a-kind holiday cards, cheerful ornaments and unique artworks for yourself or to gift this holiday season. Each week discover new projects! This program is open to all ages, and is a great opportunity to create alongside your grandchildren, children, or friends.
