January 2015, we moved into the newly renovated Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning and our first year has been full of wonderful events, workshops, performances, new friends and now a bustling cafe. We’re so glad you’ve been a part of it.We’re celebrating this great day with a signature dance. The Daybreaker Dance Party.

To kick off 2016, the Kingston Arts Council, one of our tenants here at the Tett, is introducing a new program titled KAC in Conversation, an ongoing series of talks, podcasts, and blogs, that explore a variety of themes and arts practices and aim to connect disciplines and create dialogues. KAC in Conversation is a platform for the community to come together; to convene, question and connect. Can arts activate change? Can community arts lead to community development?

Juniper Café The Heartbeat of the TettIf you love your community, eat local food. That's the message from Juniper Cafe's founders, Jamie Hodges and Amber Thom. The couple, themselves passionate about local food, are the owners and operators of the cafe, located at the waterfront on the first floor of the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning.

By Brenda Biem LeifsoToday, it’s not hard to think of stretchy pant and over-earnest Zen Master types in dramatic contortions when anyone mentions the word “yoga”.But Yoga – the practice and the benefits – extend beyond the stereotypes we have built around it here in the west. Yes, it can offer physical strength and flexibility, but it also offers far more than that – a way to clean the lens on how we look at our lives, a way to see how we are relating to our inner lives, and a way to understand your spirit and creativity.

The Tett’s first Halloween is spooktacular!  Inspire your imagination with scary films, great music, community gatherings, and wild dancing into the night. We have something for everyone, so get ready to party!Thursday October 29th 7:00 – 10:30 pm Malting Tower
